The world's largest 450t well car independently developed by China North Vehicle Group’s QRRS set off to Anshan Iron and Steel in Yingkou. After testing, the indicators have reached the leading level at home and abroad, marking that the design and manufacturing technology of China's special trucks for railways have reached the international advanced level.

After testing, the indicators have reached the leading level at home and abroad, marking that the design and manufacturing technology of China's special trucks for railways have reached the international advanced level.

D45 450t well car was designed and manufactured by QRRS to follow the rapid development of China's national economy, and meet the needs of the national key construction projects. The well size of the car is 16.1 meters and the maximum width is 2.35 meters, with the deadweight of 450 tons. Recently, the car has been successfully installed in the 412t 5.5m largest rolling mill rack in China produced by China First Heavy Machinery Group for Anshan Iron and Steel.

In order to successfully complete the loading transport, QRRS under China North Vehicle Group formed a technical service team, to carry out detailed examinations on the cars before loading, together with experts from China Academy of Railway Sciences, and measured and verified the bogie spring deflections and some of the data on the vehicles. The mill stand weighing up to 412 tons was safely and smoothly loaded on the 450t well car. After that, the company’s technical staff measured the sizes of different parts of the cars and Chinese Academy of Railway Sciences tested the indicators of the stress points. The results show that the loading fully meets the design requirements and the requirements for special cargo transport.
